ROR Championships 2025 Success
by Katie Jerram Equestrian | 25th August 025
Katie Jerram Equestrian had a very successful trip to the ROR Championship Show, held at the famous Aintree Race Course, despite the six hour journey from Collins Farm, Essex.
His Majesty's new retrained racehorse, Reach For The Moon, made his showing debut at the show, after only four weeks of retraining with Katie. Shown in-hand by Katie's husband Chris, Moon as he's known at home, won the In-Hand Newcomers and the In-Hand Always A Star classes.
Chris then went on to win the In-Hand Final class with Mrs Serena Geake's, American Gerry, before taking the In-Hand Championship during the Evening Performance. Gerry is a 9yr old bay gelding by Amercain, out of Hurricane Society and is also in his first season of retraining, having finished his racing career in 2024.
Katie then took up the reins on His Majesty's, First Receiver, to win the ROR Open Ridden Final, and went on to be Reserve Champion in the Saturday Evening Performance. Katie said "I'm absolutely delighted with all the horses, but especially Moon as he is so new to the yard and showing, what an exciting prospect he his for the future; special thanks must go to the whole team for the hard work they put in at home, and when we are away at shows".
